“There is an openness and lyric quality in many of the films coming out of the West Coast experimental film scene that is seldom seen in films made in the East. A good example of this can be seen in the work of John Schofill whose films were shown recently at the Jewish Museum in New York. His films are also typical of much West Coast work in that they show a high regard for filmmaking as a craft as well as a means of personal expression.” –Bob Cowan
