Sofia Amato

Distribution Manager and producer, graduated from La sapienza University of Rome in the arts and sciences of the performing arts with a thesis on gender theories related to cinema, continues her studies following a multidisciplinary course on sustainability sciences, Improving her knowledge as a green supervisor. She then graduated in writing and productions with a thesis on the international distribution of Italian films. For years she has been studying the world of film festivals with a particular focus on juries and awards. Her knowledge in production and distribution led her to collaborate with an Italian production company for more than a year, where she took care of festival distribution and production supervision. In 2023 she is chosen as juror of the young professionals' jury of the 59th edition of the Pesaro film Festival and in the same year she began her collaboration with several international production companies, playing the role of expert in international promotion, in particular she is a contributor to the Oscar campaign for the short film The Golden Cage, which is running for nomination for Live action Short Film during 96th edition of the Academy Awards. Since 2024 she has been the distribution manager for Q. Animation Films, an Italian production company linked to animation and for All The Ways Entertainment, a Dutch production company. As a freelance she also works as producer and promotion consultant for several national and international companies.
